You Are Guinness

You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.

Now I don't mind the wording. It's pretty true. Well, some would take issue with the word become when describing me as a know-it-all. The real problem is the choice of beer. Now I know that Guinness is the collegiate drunkards golden chalice, but for experienced beer snobs the stuff is thin and flavorless. The test gets points for making me a stout. That's right on many levels. But Guinness? Really? That's just vile. I am an Oak Aged Yeti, and everyone knows it.
Oak Aged Yeti has had its hard edges tempered by time and... oak. The roughness of its youth has slipped away to a comfortable glow of elitism and snobbery. Oak Aged Yeti no longer drives like a maniac. He's comfortable just taking in the scenery wherever he is. Oak Aged Yeti will confront you with your misconceptions, but in a way that you can enjoy it. You'll come out of an experience with Oak Aged Yeti as a better person. So try a glass, will you? |
